The 2012 Grand Prix de Pau Historique: Major Grand Prix, major challenges...
The fickle weather could not overcome the general goodwill and the 2012 Grand Prix de Pau Historique drew a great many people during the intense racing weekend. For two days, six competing grids successively challenged their contenders with ...skies alternating rain showers and bright sun. 800 club cars invested the Palais Beaumont gardens for an ephemeral display which highlight was the Concorse organised by French historic cars federation FFVE.
The city woke up on Friday morning to the historic cars tempo: the City Authorities, the Chamber of Commerce, the shops had joined forces. As a result, Pau was bearing its festive gear branded with the Grand Prix colors. The Pau local specialties were present thanks to casetas dispatched through the town and in the “Grand Prix Villages”. In the core of the paddock, the exhibitors were also there for this automobile adventure launched by a charity patronized by French celebrities Frédéric Beigbeder and Olivia Adriaco, which gathered eight hundred people in the splendid Palais Beaumont premises.
Next week, on 10, 11 and 12 May, the "moderns" will play their part for a new racing week end that will close the Grand Prix Week which started in a brilliant manner.
